Join us for an extravaganza in collaboration with the Oxford University Museum of Natural History, with mass actions and talks taking local public awareness of the climate crisis to a new level.
Expect…
– Young people in costume representing endangered species
– Ecological scientists engaging with the public on biodiversity loss and extinction
– ‘Heading for Extinction’ Talks throughout the day
– A huge multimedia performance action led by musicians and dancers, about ecological breakdown caused by the palm oil industry
– Films and Art-Science Workshops
We are collaborating with the Museum for this event, so there is no arrest risk for this action. It will be very family-friendly. The programme is available here: https://drive.google.com/file/d/14lhSofBmdRZTEd5PB96eKFQLzRuM2Ebo/view
We need LOTS of lovely XR activists (and their family and friends) to make this action as big and beautiful as possible! Read on and sign up below:
We’re looking for people of all ages with experience of performing arts: dancers, acrobats, circus performers, mime artists. Experience isn’t mandatory though, everyone is welcome to sign up – for more that one activity. There’ll also be volunteers needed for:
– Outreach and leafletting
– Supporting the youth performers
– Crafting and making pre- and during the event
You can apply for more that one performance role, as well as pre-event making. Please sign-up here:
