The plan:
After the success of the last few years, we are collecting apples and pears from across West Oxford and deliver them to Rupert Griffin, of Oxford micro-enterprise Tiddly Pommes. He creates a pasturised blend, labelled especially for us.
Anyone donating apples will get first refusal on buying any juice produced for £2.50 a bottle (normal retail price £4.00 / bottle). The 20% we get from Tiddly Pommes for free will be donated to our friends at the Oxford Food Bank.
This will only work with a reasonable haul, so please tell your friends and neighbours – the more apples, the better!
Take part:
-
When your apples are ripe, pick your apples (no windfalls please)
-
Check for upcoming drop-off dates and email us to let us know you will be dropping them off, with the variety and rough weight, if either of those details are known.
-
Bring them to the drop off point – the front garden at 22 Oatlands Road – on one of our drop-off weekends.
-
We will deliver your apples to Tiddly Pommes, and let you know when the juice is ready.
